What size yacht fender do I need?
A general rule is one inch of fender diameter for every 4–5 feet of yacht length. A 50-foot
yacht typically needs 12″ fenders. A 100-foot yacht needs 20″ or larger. Sailing yachts can
usually go one size smaller than power yachts of equivalent length.
How many fenders should I have onboard?
For yachts under 40 ft, carry a minimum of 3 fenders. For larger vessels, plan for one fender
per 10 feet of waterline length. For Mediterranean stern-to mooring, you’ll need a minimum
of 6 fenders.
Are Yachtfend fenders suitable for sailing yachts?
Yes. Yachtfend fenders work for both sailing yachts and power yachts. Sailing yacht crews
typically choose one diameter smaller than the equivalent power yacht size, and prefer
fenders that store flat when deflated.
What material are Yachtfend fenders made from?
Heavy-duty marine-grade PVC with UV-stabilized pigments and reinforced inflation valves.
Hardware is 316 stainless steel. Made in Europe.
Do they come in colors other than black?
Standard color is black for maximum UV resistance. Custom colors are available on request
with a 2–4 week lead time.
How long do Yachtfend fenders last?
With proper care and use of fender covers, Yachtfend fenders typically last 5–10 seasons of
regular use. Backed by a 5-year manufacturing warranty
