Why do I need rope covers?
Where mooring lines pass over rails or through chocks, the constant friction wears through
gelcoat and weakens the rope itself. Rope covers absorb that friction, protecting both your
hull finish and your lines.
Where should I install them?
At every chafe point — typically where lines pass over the toe rail, through chocks, or over the
transom for stern-to mooring. Most yachts need 4–6 covers minimum.
How do they install?
Velcro panels and zipper fasteners — slip the cover over your existing line, secure with velcro
and zip closed. Takes a couple of minutes per cover. Easily removed for cleaning.
What size do I need?
Match the cover range to your rope diameter: 10–14mm rope, 16–19mm, 19–25mm, 25–35mm,
or 30–50mm. The largest range covers superyacht mooring lines.
Are they UV-resistant?
Yes — marine-grade neoprene with high UV and saltwater resistance.
What color are they?
Standard color is black.
